Motorists Insurance Group+SRMC
The Motorists Insurance Group is a large insurance company with offices throughout the Midwest, and headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. Motorists had identified a need at their 20 story multi-tenant headquarters situated in downtown Columbus, to develop a security strategy to upgrade and/or replace their older failing security technologies with a more contemporary platform and to implement a centralized security control center, positioned to manage the headquarters and outlying facilities.
Motorists Insurance partnered with SRMC, Inc. who recommended conducting an overall risk and vulnerability study, review of the security department operations, including staffing, policies, procedures and processes and security technologies. Based on the findings of this overall security assessment, SRMC, Inc. provided a report which included recommendations for security program improvements including operational and technology enhancements. This report was presented in a manner to allow Motorists to phase in these recommendations over a period of several budget cycles.
Based on the results of the report, the Motorists Insurance Group engaged SRMC, Inc. to assist with the recruitment of a new Security Manager. Additionally, SRMC, Inc. provided a comprehensive security system design to include new video management, access control, and visitor management systems, all managed from a new security command center. Additionally, due to the unique configuration of the facility and lobby, SRMC, Inc. provided design criteria to implement both full height revolving turnstiles and optical barrier-style turnstiles to help with the access management of visitors, staff and building tenants. SRMC, Inc. has continued this relationship to include additional services at other facilities.
