John R. Kleberg, M.Ed.

John R. Kleberg, M. Ed., is a consultant for SRMC, Inc. He has over 40 years of professional university security and administrative experience.  After his military service, he served as a public safety officer at Michigan State University, as the Security Director at Richmond Professional Institute, now Virginia Commonwealth University, Chief of Police at the University of Illinois, and Deputy Chief of Police at The Ohio State University.  He has also been Director of Internal Audit, Director of Risk Assessment in Student Affairs, and Assistant Vice President for Business and Finance at Ohio State.

 

John, who holds a bachelor’s degree in Law Enforcement Administration from Michigan State University and a master of education from the University of Illinois, is a member of the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators and ASIS International. He has also authored or co-authored numerous articles and other publications.

 

He has offered his consulting expertise to numerous colleges and universities, including Ohio Wesleyan University, the University of Virginia, The American University in Cairo, Egypt, and KAUST in Saudi Arabia.
